About Us: 

We are a group of 8 volunteers who have organized and produced the July 4^th Independence Day celebration for many years.  Some of us have been together for over 20 years.  This years committee members include Beth Nightingale, Bill Hedlund, Jan Barris, Donna Wagner, Sean Powers, Janice & Tom Weitbrecht, Pam Kiley and Caral Kippenhan.  Braintree’s celebration is always held the Saturday before the actual holiday at Braintree High School and annually attracts in excess of 20,000 residents and visitors to our high school grounds for the activities.  Every year it is a “labor of love” struggle to host this spectacular family day celebration. 

North American Amusements of Weymouth provides rides, games and food wagons for this fun filled family day.  Visit their website at: northamericanamusements.com.  In addition, several local non-profit organizations host food booths to generate money for their own treasuries, their largest one day fund raising effort.
